For the value, I think Seventy is at the very top. Medium high budget for an exceptional stay that provides everything you could ever want: walkability, amenities, staff attentiveness, updated interior, excellent common spaces for working and socializing. I’ll be back.

Cockroach inside room and absolutely terrible customer service when expecting them to keep their words

Extremely nice staff but at the same time extremely bad at keeping their promises. Problem happened when I went to the shower. I was able to put the water on and suddenly a cockroach started flying on the small glass shower room with me inside. Absolutely disgusting. We packed quickly our belongings and left the room. For context that happened on the first night and we didn’t sleep there because of the disgusting issue. Staff member at the reception was very nice and apologised several times. Of course not his fault and he was extremely nice. He told us that he can change our room. At that point I googled this hotels name and cockroach and saw that there was several reviews complaining of cockroaches from the past years. He also told me that there has been an issue with cockroaches on the hotel but they are working on it. Anyway I was told that they will do a refund but he can’t make it and needs to inform his manager the next day. We changed to another hotel. The next day came and we went personally back to the hotel to talk with the manager. The manager was also extremely nice and apologised and promised a full refund which she told me that she will make and we don’t have to do anything.

− After two days there was no update on our refund. I called to booking. com and they told me that the reservation was cancelled because we didn’t arrive at the hotel and no refund will be made because it is a reservation with a strict cancellation policy. I explained the situation and booking. com told me that I need to contact the hotel that the hotel contacts booking. com to issue the refund. On that day of my holiday I spent 3,5 hours trying to sort out the situation. Next day I again contacted the hotel and the staff told me that I need to make a refund request from booking. com but booking. com told me that they need the confirmation from the hotel. After telling this to the hotel, they said I need to send them a refund request. I also did that but they didn’t accept it. Later claiming they didn’t receive it although I saw that refund request myself and and also booking. com customer service told me that it is sent. Clearly everyone told me different things. I have a small hotel myself and use booking. com as reservation platform so I know for a fact how a refund/cancellation should be made from the accommodations side. I also confirmed my assumptions with several booking. com customer service persons that the hotel isn’t doing what they insisted that they have done via email to me. I don’t know if there at the hotel is people working with a very bad training or just straight out wanting to lie to a customer. After going back and worth with this very messy situation I got a full refund but it cost me having to call and email on my holiday in total of 6,5 hours on 2 different days. I have been in Barcelona for 6 times and at least 2,5 weeks each time. I have only stayed in hotels and this is the first time seeing a cockroach inside a hotel. I also checked out of curiosity and other 5 star hotels don’t have cockroaches on their reviews. You can make your own assumptions based on that.

Nos hospedamos una noche con mi mamá y la experiencia fue genial. Aprovechamos el rooftop y el spa, y además pudimos aparcar el coche cómodamente en el parking del mismo hotel, lo cual fue súper práctico. Todo estuvo muy bien y disfrutamos mucho de la estancia. ¡Sin duda lo recomendamos!

Great place to stay while in Barcelona

Great little hotel that has everything you need. A rooftop pool, good food with decent prices, nice bar downstairs, great breakfast and lovely staff
