The property was right next to the beach/rocks and looks lovely from outside with a very efficient gardener. The property felt secure and was well equipped, provisions in cupboards - foods and cleaning products although we used our own. Property not far from bus stop, little supermarket and 15 minute walk uphill to train station.

− The description of where it was in Benalmadena was misleading. The cleanliness of kitchen area, bathroom and swimming pool (constant greasy surface film)could have been better. One thing missing would be to have portable chairs available for taking to the pool. An additional pool key would be beneficial as you need it for entrance and exit(fire safety concerns) which means constant up and down to let family members in and out.

Positives: The apartment is large and well equipped for a family stay - 2 bathrooms was a bonus! The communication and information provided was clear and made finding the apartment and accessing it very easy. The apartment had a nice sea view from the balcony which we enjoyed. The apartment is located on the outskirts of Benalmadena, but has a small supermarket nearby. The photographs of the apartment on booking.com did reflect the reality. The apartment had plenty of space for 5 people and was very clean. Things to consider: The apartment location was nowhere near where it was initially advertised when we booked it. We received an email informing us of this just over a week before our arrival. We booked it because of its central location, however it was much further out of Benalmadena. Despite this, the apartment had a nice sea view and was close to the sea front. The shower doors in the one bathroom did not close and seal, which meant that every time it was used, the bathroom floor was flooded. The oven constantly tripped the electrics in the apartment during peak times - one evening we had bought a pizza to cook for the children's dinner and unfortunately had no way to cook it. The oven did work the next day when we used it earlier in the day and unplugged most other electrical devices. The air conditioning units did not work properly. We tried using different settings and different units in different rooms, but could not get any of them to work. Some simple instructions would be useful and hopefully it was operator error rather than a failure of the units. The final issue that I had with this booking was the day before our arrival - I had to pay a £500 deposit (that would be refunded 14 days after departure) or a non refundable £40 insurance. This was not advertised in the booking.com listing when I booked and was very disappointed to have this additional cost added on.
