El propietario nos hizo un tour gratis por la laguna y nos organizó el safari del día siguiente. El hotel está cerca del lago y es bonito ver el atardecer.

− Reservamos dos habitaciones y en una de ellas no había aire acondicionado, solo un pingüino.

Nous avons passé un séjour fantastique. Notre hôte est tout simplement formidable et très attentionné. Il nous a fait découvrir les environs et, grâce à lui, nous avons passé deux soirées formidables à observer la faune locale. Nous avons notamment pu voir des chats pêcheurs (fishing cats), des crocodiles, des chauves-souris et des hiboux. La chambre était parfaite pour nous, avec tout le confort recherché : climatisation, eau chaude, moustiquaire, lit et oreillers confortables. Nous avons également organisé notre safari avec son aide et avons eu la chance de voir de nombreux animaux, dont deux léopards ! N'hésitez pas à réserver au moins deux nuits à Yala : il y a beaucoup de choses à découvrir pour les amoureux de la nature, et pas seulement le parc national. Encore un grand merci pour tout ! Nous garderons un excellent souvenir de ce séjour.

Excellent accomodation at a very cheap price. The host is so welcoming, very knowledgeable about surrounding wildlife and goes above and beyond. He took us out around the lakes both nights we stayed here to search for wildlife. The restaurant recommendation from him also had great food + atmosphere. 100% recommend booking the yala safari through the host as very convenient and we had an amazing + very knowledgeable driver at a reasonable price. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

We had a wonderful stay here! The host was incredibly kind and welcoming. When we arrived, he offered us a delicious fresh mango juice and later took us on a lovely evening tour around the lake where we saw crocodiles, bats, owls, and many beautiful birds. He is very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna around the lake and you can really feel his passion for the animals and nature. He also recommended a great local restaurant where we enjoyed very good and affordable food. Additionally, he helped us arrange a safari to Yala National Park at a very good price and organized tuk-tuk transport for us at a very convenient rate. The room was comfortable, clean, and nicely prepared with a mosquito net, which made our stay very pleasant.

Best place in Sri Lanka

The best place I stayed in Sri Lanka. The owner is beyond nice and takes you on a lake tour in the evening. It was the highlight of my trip. The room was clean, had a mosquito net and a portable aircon unit. Also the area is so quiet and all the locals want to have a chat if they see you out. It's such a nice area to stay in.. I'd stay here again anytime.
