Lara was an excellent person and the apartment was exceptional. She went above and beyond as a hostess! We were very pleased with the beds and the apartment layout. A very good, excellent experience!

I hate leaving bad reviews, but the host's lack of clarity on her particular needs led to problems.

The host was very considerate in providing prepackaged breakfast and snack foods for our use, as well as stocking bottled water in the cabinet. There were also bowls, plates, and silverware provided for our use, and my friends and I appreciated how conveniently located it was. It was very easy to get to the downtown area, and also to the interstate. In addition, there was an error when I booked the apartment--I meant to book for three people but only two showed up on the reservation--and when I contacted her through the Booking site upon realizing this, she agreed to host the additional person (my friend's mom) for an extra $25/day, which I paid in cash the morning after our arrival. The fridge was a decent size, although the freezer section was spotted with mold all over. Most of the apartment was very clean, with the exception of the bathroom floor, some old stains on the toilet seat, and small cobwebs and spiders throughout.

− We had some very difficult interactions with our host, & I'd hate for someone else to run into the same issues, which could've been avoided if there'd been better communication & more accurate listing on the website. The host claimed to be very sensitive to smells, to the point of messaging repeatedly about one of my roommates' use of the microwave to heat up a chicken sandwich. The next morning, she texted again, asking if someone was burning oils downstairs & stating that she smelled lemongrass from the vents. She did apologize for any inconvenience, citing breathing issues. The smell was from one of my roommates' medicinal rub she had to apply as instructed by her physician due to a recent injury. A few hours later, the host contacted me again, informing me the smell had become unbearable (despite the fact I could barely smell it in the room, & I have sensory issues). She approached my roommate & asked her to stop using it, so my roommate, who needed to complete her therapy, offered to leave to avoid further conflict (she wound up sleeping in her car). To be considerate, she washed the sheets and bedding she used (so the host wouldn't have to deal with the offensive scents), and left. The host later began blowing up my phone to tell me that the washer couldn't handle what should've been a normal-sized load & that guests were forbidden to wash household items (not listed in rules). She complained again about the lemongrass smell & stated she cleaned the room for 4 hrs to get rid of it. When my other roommate and I returned, she'd locked us out of the laundry room & our stuff had been moved around, which felt like an invasion of privacy since she hadn't let us know prior to entering the space. She later informed me that she would've declined our reservation based on my roommate's medical issues (medical discrimination?).

Would stay again for sure

Nothing, the post was a lie. The host stays in the house with their dog and block off their bottom floor in the bi-level home. There is no apartment.

− She chased my and my children off the property after she told me that she doesn't allow children in the home because other people's kids are destructive and then when I asked her to give me space so we could gather our things and leave she became angry and began shouting to get my kids out of the house and then telling me to stop acting like she was aggressive when I asked her to back away for the 5th time. I really wish I was exaggerating. She then refused to refund me the money stating that it was in the policy.

Comfortable lodgings.

Two comfortable double beds, nice bathroom with toiletries, good water pressure, very good and efficient contact with host. All in all, a comfortable place to overnight.

− Only one sink, and so difficult to wash out coffee cups.
