We did not get to stay in it as the agent did not send us a code to enter the property. We had to drive home at 10.30pm with 2 young children and did get to stay there. Called the agent the following day for a refund and she refused and constantly talked over me. Said we could stay the following day as we now had the key code. We were not willing to rabies 3 hours back for one night. This place was booked as a stop off on our drive home from the south.

Will never book again and I am outraged they made me pay a change incase I damaged the property it was horrible to stay

Only like likeable about the property was the living room and the onsuit

− Garage door was hanging off leaving me feel anxious about having my van outside. Cobwebs all over the house, dished with grease in them, rubbish boxes in the living room and the kitchen. Bedswere like water beds

Nice half an hour walk to town, Indian & shop close by.

− Avoid at all costs. Beware of the hidden £100 pet fee and additional deposit supposedly for “extra cleaning and spillages/damage” — the sheer audacity of charging this when the property itself was absolutely filthy. The place was disgusting. Deep-rooted grime and body hair all over the bathroom, dust and cobwebs everywhere, and dirt on the floor conveniently hidden under a rug. This was not minor oversight — it was a complete failure of basic hygiene. The garden was overgrown and genuinely felt like a health and safety hazard. The only reason we stayed was because the booking became non-refundable and it was New Year’s Eve, leaving us with no alternative. Otherwise, we would have left immediately. This is without question the worst rental we have ever stayed in. To make matters worse, the management company simply shrugged it off, claiming their pre-stay cleaning report “doesn’t reflect” our experience. Unfortunately for them, time-stamped, location-tagged photos do not lie. An embarrassing level of neglect and a disgraceful response from management. Save yourself the stress and book elsewhere.

Great place to stay after our day at the NEC and then a visit to our daughter in Shropshire.

Very quiet area, could hear the birds singing. Good bed. Close to Shrewsbury. Good restaurants. Would recommend The Boathouse.

− Needs a full length mirror in the bedroom. Poor bedside table lamps. Very uncomfortable sofa in the lounge.

Very clean and well presented house !
