The apartment was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything you could need - even herbs, appliance manuals, etc. There were pastries and jam and bottles of water waiting for us on arrival which was very kind and a welcoming touch. It felt secure and the neighbours are so friendly. The apartment also has lots of appliances, including a washing machine, dishwasher, and hot plate.

− I wasn’t really keen on the decor, it felt very white, clinical, and a little soulless—but that’s a matter of personal preference. It was still modern, comfortable, clean, and had some handy travel books and ornaments on shelves, and some lovely artwork of Venice. Unfortunately, our stay was let down by an issue with the electricity. At around 6:20am, we only had one air conditioner running and a bathroom light on when my mum plugged in the supplied hairdryer. The power immediately went out. I contacted Beatrice around 6:30am before we left for a day trip to the Dolomites and offered to try any troubleshooting she could suggest. When we returned that evening at around 8pm I followed the instructions Beatrice had sent but it did not restore the power so I called her. Although she answered straight away, I felt she became frustrated with me and that we were being blamed for something that wasn’t our fault. As I said, there was only one air conditioning unit on and one light when the hairdryer was plugged in. I was back and forth between fuse boxes after a really tiring (but lovely!) day for about 45 minutes, including one box in the garage that housed other residents’ belongings, which felt inappropriate for guests to access. The neighbours actually checked in to see what we were doing which was understandable. In the end, I actually found the correct secondary fuse box and restored the power myself before the person she sent arrived. I was not upset with the problem - things happen and I expect a few hiccups - but I don’t think it was handled appropriately. As guests in an unfamiliar property, I don’t think we should have been expected to diagnose and resolve an electrical problem ourselves, especially after returning late from a full day away. Given the number of appliances provided, including a dishwasher, I also found it surprising that using a single air conditioner, one light, and the supplied hairdryer appeared to trip the system.

Beatrice è un' ottima padrona di casa e ci ha ospitati in un appartamento davvero molto carino e che consiglio a chi vuole visitare Venezia o a chi come me è partito per una crociera.
