An absolutely exceptional hotel and a true 5-star experience in every sense of the word. We stayed in an Executive Double Room, which I highly recommend. The room was beautiful and spacious, with a huge terrace offering a wonderful view and a perfectly functioning private jacuzzi. The bed and bedding were simply outstanding — honestly, some of the best we have ever experienced in a hotel. The bathroom was equally impressive, with both a separate bathtub and shower, and everything was beautifully designed and maintained. Absolutely nothing is left to chance. What really sets The Xara Palace apart, however, is the level of service. Every member of staff was extremely friendly, professional and attentive. From reception and concierge to room service, everyone genuinely takes care of you. The level of hospitality is comparable to some of the finest luxury hotels and palaces we have experienced in France, whether in Paris, Deauville or elsewhere. We also really appreciated all the thoughtful touches upon arrival: a bottle of Maltese sparkling wine, local products and olive oil. The sparkling wine was actually an excellent surprise — as a French guest with some training in oenology, I found it genuinely very good. Another excellent surprise was the complimentary minibar included with our Executive Room. This is rare enough to deserve a mention. Even in many 5-star hotels in France, including establishments in Paris or Deauville, minibar items are usually charged separately. We booked through Booking.com and received an excellent offer which also allowed us to benefit from an upgrade. Considering the quality of the room and the level of service, it was outstanding value. We also appreciated being able to enjoy our room until 12 noon on departure day without feeling rushed. Even if you are a few minutes late, nobody makes you feel uncomfortable or pressures you to leave.
