I liked the staff whovwere friendly and nothing was a nother.

Hotel 81 is ideally locally just outside downtown in a pleasant-for-walking Singapore neighborhood,

1) The 2 night receptionists, Mr. Mike and Ms. Yul were exceptionally welcoming and informative -- much appreciated as I arrived tired at midnight. Mike drew me a precise map that showed the nearby location of an MRT (metro). The metro ticket got me back to the airport and saved me S$30.00 taxi fare 2) It seemed that the room had recently been remodelled (2nd Fl Rm 11) as everything was new. The bathroom facilities were shiny and had that first-look.

− I recommend the room include controls for the air conditioner. I am from Florida, now working in Jakarta, and was not expecting a wintry night in tropical Singapore. :-)

Nettes Personal, Badezimmer war neu gemacht

− Klimaanlage ging nur an der Rezeption ausschalten, in der Nacht war sie plötzlich wieder an.....einfach nur schrecklich

− Not all front desk staff was helpful.

Voor 1 nacht prima, langer zou ik hier niet willen verblijven.

Kamer was ruim genoeg, kamer en badkamer waren netjes en schoon, fijne douche. Vriendelijk personeel. Ligging dichtbij MRT station, op vier haltes van Changi Airport. Waterkoker met aanmaak koffie op de kamer, gefilterd drinkwater aanwezig. Relatief goedkoop en basic, maar logisch met 2 sterren.

− Kamer was erg gehorig, tot in de nacht veel herrie vanaf de gang, terwijl ik toch een kamer helemaal aan t einde van de gang had. Ook veel herrie tot laat vanaf de straat, wellicht is een kamer aan de achterzijde van het hotel iets rustiger. De airco was lastig te stellen, blies vooral heel erg koude lucht. 's Nachts koud, want geen echte deken om onder te slapen. Matras was voor mij echt te hard. Voor 1 nacht te doen, maar langer zou ik hier persoonlijk niet verblijven.

Great location and price, but has a minor condensation issue I am happy with the hotel's location and price. However, I wanted to point out a small issue: after taking a shower, the steam exits the bathroom and meets the cold air from the air conditioner. This causes condensation, leaving the floor outside quite wet and slippery.
