Disappointing stay

The hotel is located very close to the SMN station, you can walk it up within 3-5 mins. It is also very close to the Duomo and the shopping street, which was very convenient for us. The superior rooms are large enough for two people, it also had a tiny balcony but no view of the street or the city.

− The shower pressure was too low for us, we even complained about it to the receptionist. At the time of checking in, I also mentioned to them that we’re celebrating my parents’ birthdays and I requested for an upgrade on our rooms. Unfortunately, they were unable to do that but told us they would provide us with the privilege room amenities. However, we didn’t get any special amenities in the rooms. Most of the hotels at least leave a cake & a greeting card in the rooms generally when we celebrate our special day with them. It was so disappointing that a chain hotel like Mercure didn’t go out of the way for us. The breakfast team, however, brought in a cake for my mum’s birthday and a special omelet for my dad’s birthday - but that was all. Also, there were no toothbrushes, shower caps, sanitary bags or any other items in the bathroom. Maybe it’s because they’re more eco-friendly but these are the basic necessities. I feel the hotel charged me a bomb for the kind of service they offer. I don’t think it was worth the money.

Loved everything about our stay. Hotel is so close to the train station, multiple cafes surrounding the hotel. Two supermarkets close by. Walking distance to all the tourist attractions. Staff super friendly and made you feel welcome. Loved our stay! Highly recommend Late check out 12pm, water and coffee machines on ground level Again highly recommend
