During our recent visit to Singapore, we chose to stay at KēSa House Boutique Hotel, and it turned out to be a wonderful base for exploring one of the city's most vibrant and historic neighbourhoods. Located on the iconic Keong Saik Road, the hotel occupies a row of beautifully restored heritage shophouses, allowing guests to experience a slice of old Singapore while enjoying modern comforts. The moment we entered the hotel, we were impressed by its stylish yet welcoming lobby. Unlike large commercial hotels, KēSa House has a warm, intimate atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. We particularly enjoyed spending time on the small outdoor balcony, a cosy space where we could unwind after a busy day of sightseeing. One aspect that stood out was the hotel's commitment to sustainability. Instead of providing disposable plastic bottles, every room comes with elegant reusable glass bottles. Guests can refill them in the shared kitchen, where taps dispense both still and sparkling water. It is a simple but thoughtful initiative that significantly reduces plastic waste. The common kitchen itself is a great facility, especially for longer stays, as guests can prepare light meals or even cook if they wish. The location could hardly be better. Chinatown is just a few minutes away, making it easy to explore its colourful streets, temples, markets, and heritage buildings at a relaxed pace. Food lovers are spoiled for choice, with numerous restaurants, cafés, and famous hawker centres nearby serving everything from local Singaporean favourites to international cuisine. The hotel is also conveniently located near three MRT stations—Maxwell, Tanjong Pagar, and Outram Park—providing excellent connectivity across the city. For travellers who appreciate heritage architecture, sustainable practices, and a neighbourhood rich in culture and food, KēSa House Boutique Hotel offers a memorable and authentic Singapore experience.
